11, One of the advantages of living in NJ, it was kinda like a hub to shows throughout New England and the annual pilgrimage to Hampton, when the Grateful Dead came east (except for the 80' short fall tour), we could catch them in numerous cities within a week or two.....gone are the daze.....

DC (Maryland)
Massachusetts
Connecticut
Rhode Island
New Hampshire
Pennsylvania
New York
New Jersey
North Carolina
Virgina
Georgia

Remember summer 89 midwest swing fundIng the tour by selling import bottles. So only one of us is 21 and we buy 20 cases of beer. Had a oldsmobile so we had to bungee the trunk closed. The car was packed with beer and young hippies and the first tging we hit on the highway was a tollbooth maned by staties. All four of us turned pale white. We drove through and the statie stared but did nothin!!!! What a relief we hooted and hollered all the way till Tinley Park.....

Very cool Pig Street!
Always felt welcomed and at home at the Coliseum.
My last JGB show I drove down the coastline taking all the back roads got super lost and ended up in a fishing town somewhere close by.
The folks got me sorted out and served me some kicking fish dipped into some tangy yet spicy sauce.
The coolest thing was they had a black Jesus on the wall.
I felt very safe like I was in real good hands even though I was completely lost and it was so foggy I could hardly see in front of me.
When I ate my fill the fog had lifted and I found myself exactly where I needed to be.

Sounded like you were subjected to good ole southern hospitality. I love NC where I'm currently residing, people are wonderful, even for this darn Yankee who decided to stay.

BTW , Chris i been meaning to share with you, stand firm my friend, stand firm. Never falter from the footsteps we choose to follow. Keep up the good work of sharing the good news!
Peace my friend.
